[#train 2x]Bangalore City railway station (Station code: SBC, officially known as Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna railway station) is the main railway station of Bengaluru city.

The station has 10 platforms.The following is the general layout of the platforms in Bangalore City railway station .
[#pin1 1x] Platforms 1 to 4 are the main ones, trains terminate/originate from Bangalore operate from here.
[#pin2 1x] Platforms 1 to 7 serves trains towards the Chennai and Salem directions.
[#pin3 1x] Platforms 5 to 10, also service trains depart towards Mysuru.
[#pin4 1x] Platforms 8 to 10, service trains arrive via Yeshwantpur from Hubballi-Dharwad.
There are two overhead pedestrian bridges, connecting all the platforms. One is at the center, on your left as you enter the platform 1 through main entrance, the other located at the north end of the platforms. There's also an underpass, connecting the platforms.
Both the main entrance as well as the 'Back Gate' entrance has ticket counters. The advance reservation counter is located just outside the main entrance.

Bangalore City railway station is located in the heart of city, an area locally called the Majestic. The station has 10 platforms and two entrances. The main entrance is on the eastern side of the station.
You can walk from this entrance to the city bus station, the Kempegowda Bus Station. There's a subway to cross the main road in front of the railway station. Once you cross the main road, take the pedestrian footbridge to get to the right platform in the Bus Station. It's a 10 minutes walk from the railway station to the Bus Station.
The second entry point for the platforms ( locally called the 'Back Gate') in on the northwestern side. If your train departs/arrives on platform 8, 9 or 10, this is a convenient entry point.
Also keep in mind when you book Uber or Ola, select the main entrance ( west side of the station) or the 'Back Gate'. Pre-paid Auto & Uber/Ola can pick/drop at both the entrances.

The railway station is also served by KSR City Railway Station metro station on the Namma Metro's Purple Line.
Broadly, there are 5 railway lines passing from Bangalore City railway station, to connect with other major cities in the region.
