Paintings & Sketches
The dedicated gallery has collection of paintings and sketches by Raja Ravi Varma, Tagore, Jamini Roy, Nandalal Bose, SH Raza.
Photography
Photography enthusiasts will find the works of Raghu Rai, Dayanita Singh, Vivan Sundaram, among other modern day photographers.
Sculptures
The open garden lined with fruit trees has a good collection of modern sculptures by the likes of M Dharmani , T Vijayavelu etc
Lithographs , Etching & Woodcuts
Works of Thomas Daniell, MF Husain, Binode Bihari, Mukherjee, Haren Das, Mukul Day too are among the displayed works.

[#tip] Club the visit to NGMA with Bangalore Palace visit. There's a good cafeteria inside the campus. Palace Road and the neighbourhood are upscale business district of Bangalore with the likes of 5 star hotels like Shangri-La, ITC Windor etc.
A bit south of the NGMA is Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.
1½km west of NGMA is Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, the visual art complex. The complex has 18 galleries. 13 of these galleries carry a permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and folk art. The other galleries are rented out for exhibitions of works by artists of repute. This is also the venue of the annual Chitra Santhe fair, where over 1200 artists from across the nation showcase and sell their paintings.
