[#1]IKEA store is HUGE. Spread over two floors - Level 1 (ground floor) and Level 2 ( first floor).
Each level has about 10 sections. You need to walk at least 2 km inside the store cover most of it.
[#2] Take the escalator and explore the Showroom at Level 2. Everything for sale is displayed in the actual use condition. You need to note the item code and pick up from marketplace hall located on the ground floor.

[#4]There are a few shortcuts to skip sections. Otherwise the pathway is right through the middle of each sections. You may pick up a few items from the Level 2, mostly children's item and furnishings. Otherwise, your shopping cart will get filled in Level 1. [#5]Swedish Restaurant
Start you IKEA exploration with the Swedish Restaurant! Yes you need a lot of energy and endurance to cover the whole of IKEA ( almost 2km of walk in each floor). Stand in the and pick up your choice on a food cart. Pay and take your food to the restaurant hall.
The restaurant is located at Level 2, on the right side of the main entrance to the Showroom area.

- Dal Makhani with rice
- Chicken Tikka masala with rice and many more...
During the lunch hours, the queue gets longer (60 to 90 min). Finish your food early on, preferably as the first item during the shopping.
Also there's a small cafeteria right after the billing. The serve Pastries, Samosas, Icecreams, hot and cold beverages. For all the beverages, refilling is unlimited, you can drink as much as you need!
[#6] How much Time is needed to explore IKEA?
Keep at least 4 hours. Need 2 hours if have to just skim through IKEA sore.
Plan for one full day ( 6 to 8 hours). You can do a thorough exploration as a first time visit.
Avoid weekends if you are a serious shopper. If you've to do it on a weekend, try early.
Be at the restaurant by 9.30am, finish breakfast and start at 10am wne the showroom opens.
Crowd buildup by 1pm and thins out by 6pm.
Alternately, get in by 6'ish and shop till the showroom closes by 10pm.
[#7] Deep Discounted Sale! There's a 'secret area' in IKEA where you can pick up items with negligible damages as a deep discounted price. Most of the items here are either with its original packaging damaged or things came from the display area.
This place in located just before the filling counter. Keep walking towards your left once you hit the billing counters. The hall displaying the such items is on the leftmost. Anything from furniture to kitchenware to lightings are on sale, usually.
The items are sold in as-is-condition. You can't get any warranty services or return.

Shopping list and note Article number. Also pick up a paper measuring tape inside the showroom. At the Level 2 showrook most items are fixed with a tag. Note the Article Number price etc. This tag contains the location where you can pick this item into your shopping cart at the Level 1 (Marketplace Hall or the Furniture Selfservice wearhouse area). The backside of the map brochure has a place to note items.
Bring you space dimensions from home (for a potential furniture or other items). Pick up a paper measuring tape located at many places in the store (Level 2). You can self check and compare items on display in the Showroom.
IKEA has a home delivery service for a nominal fee. You need to go to the Delivery Service counter near the check out area. If you have to buy an oversized item , avail this service. Select your item , pay and opt for the delivery service.
In IKEA everything is self service based concept. If you've to dismantle something (like a chair, to pun in your car's boot), you need to do it yourself or get the help of the third party service partner's help ( for a fixed fee).
In case you need to borrow a tool, go to the Exchanges and Returns counter located after the checkout counter on the left.
The store is open from 10am to 10pm

IKEA is in Nagasandra located northwest of Bangalore city, on the NH75.
[#metro]Nagasandra Metro Station is located just at the entrance of IKEA. This is the most convenient way to reach IKEA.
[#car]From the city center take the NH75 ( Tumkur Road). Or take the NICE Road and turn right into NH75 at the end of NICE road.
[#]Click & Collect If you want to just pick a few item you're sure of, try the Click & Collect option. Go to IKEA.in website search & select your item. Enter the PIN Code ( any Bangalore postal code). Availability at Bangalore will be shown on the stock status. Pay and checkout. Opt for self collection from the store.
Click & Collect counter is open 8am to 7pm, everyday.
