Bangalore to Kannur by Road

[#car]Take the Mysore route (NH275). From Hunsur ( after Mysore) leave NH275 and take the Virajpet road.

This road will take you to Iritty in Kerala. You can take further diversions at Iritty to your destination in north Kerala.

Bangalore-Kannur road distance is 310+km. Driving should take anything from 7½ ( 8½ hours, with a few stops).

Bangalore → 145km (NH275) → Mysore → 30km (NH275) → Hunsur → 45km (state highway 90)→ Gonikoppal → 37km → Karnataka|Kerala boarder → 14km → Iritty → 14km → Mattannur → 27km →  Kannur

[#1] Exit Bangalore city: Take the NICE Road (expressway) to get to the Mysore road. You can get to NICE road from Electronics city side, Bannerghatta or Kanakapura road.

[#2] Bypass Mysore City. Either take the Srirangapatina bypass (turn right after the 2nd long bridge, as you exit Srirangapatina island ). Or if your continue straight take the Mysore city bypass (turn right at Colombia Asia Hospital junction).

[#3] After Hunsur leave NH275 for the Virajpet road.  Watch-out for the left fork towards Virajpet shortly after Hunsur.

[#4] Upto Mysore/Hunsur there are many decent restaurants for pitstops.
